Measuring the adoption of digital nominations through EWP in the first quarter of 2026

The first quarter of 2026 has demonstrated a strong and encouraging uptake of digital nominations through EWP, reflecting both growing user confidence and the increasing integration of EWP into daily workflows.

Starting from a modest base of 113 total nominations at the end of January, this accelerated rapidly to 948 by the end of February, before reaching an impressive 2,185 nominations by the end of March. A similar upward trajectory can be seen in the number of nominations approved by partners. From 25 approvals at the end of January, the figure rose steadily to 110 by the end of February, before surging to 923 by the end of March.

The sustained increase witnessed throughout the first quarter of 2026 highlights excellent progress in users getting acquainted with the digital solutions for nominations, which has been accompanied by more support resources being made available.

Equally encouraging is that throughout the first quarter, a negligible number of interoperability issues have been reported. This is not just a  strong indication that the various IT tools are working as expected, but also that the enhanced quality control systems that were put in place in 2025 have met the goal originally outlined in the “EWP Back to the Future White Paper”.

Looking ahead, the prospects remain highly positive. The positive momentum built in the first quarter of 2026 provides a solid foundation for continued growth and refinement. IROs are encouraged to embrace this positive change, continue engaging with the system, and play an active role in shaping its ongoing success.
