These meaningful bike tours gathered students and youngsters from all over Europe to raise awareness of mobility and its challenges.
Start: 2010
End: 2013
In the autumn of 2010, the Club d’Europe of the EUF launched a new project called “Ride for Your Rights!” The idea of the tour was to gather students and young people from all over Europe and ride to raise awareness of mobility and its challenges, which was achieved by organising meetings with local stakeholders, workshops for students and general activities to captivate the attention of European citizens.
In the summer of 2011, the first edition of this tour took place in partnership with the Erasmus Student Network (ESN): From Novi Sad to St. Petersburg, 5,000 km, 12 countries and 10 weeks. The riders and participants of activities in the different cities of the route were invited to sign the Manifesto.
In the 2012 edition, it was decided to have simultaneous events instead of one long tour. Several trips took place, namely Luxembourg-Brussels. This Ride took many participants across Luxembourg, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, from May 26th to June 2nd. Several events were held, including exhibiting the “Bike of Honour” at the European Parliament and at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
