EUF Welcomes the University of Granada as a New Member!

Oct 1, 2026

The EUF Network is delighted to welcome the University of Granada (Spain) as a new member!

Founded in 1531 by Emperor Charles V, the University of Granada (UGR) is one of Spain’s oldest and largest universities. With around 60,000 students and a broad academic offering spanning the sciences, humanities, health, engineering and social sciences, it is a leading force in Spanish higher education and research. Set in the historic Andalusian city of Granada,  the university blends centuries of tradition with a forward-looking outlook. It is also one of Europe’s most popular Erasmus destinations, welcoming thousands of international students and researchers every year.

With a strong commitment to inclusion, equal opportunity, sustainable development and academic excellence, the University of Granada brings a rich Mediterranean perspective and valuable expertise to the network.

With Granada joining, the EUF community grows richer in cultural and historical diversity and institutional strength. Warm welcome!
