It’s that time of year again: the Student Mobility Summit is back and the registrations are officially open! The 2027 edition will be the 4th edition of the landmark event, and this time, under the theme ‘Final Countdown to 2028’.
Every 7 year period, the higher education community is faced with navigating a new Erasmus+ programme. This change, while often bringing new and exciting opportunities for mobility, also comes with uncertainty and is compounded by the fact that information is revealed only at a later stage – putting extra pressure on IROs. While the new 2028-2034 programme is not yet made public, universities find themselves at a crossroads: bracing for potential issues and bottlenecks in the coming years while looking forward to the continuity and success of student mobility.
With this in mind, the questions are becoming clear: how can universities best prepare for upcoming change? What are the realistic scenarios for 2028? And how to brace for change while embracing it?
The Student Mobility Summit 2027 is a space to deliberate all of these fundamental questions, together. The event will bring together practitioners from across Europe to scan the horizon of the opportunities and challenges that the new programme may bring, and look beyond to help stakeholders envision the future of mobility and the International Office.
The Summit, as an interactive community space, is set to host thought-provoking panels, expert-led workshops and engaging hackathons where you will gain relevant insights, discover new perspectives on mobility and its future, as well as prepare and plan your next steps towards 2028 with peers.
