University-Business cooperation at the Microsoft Innovation Center

University-Business cooperation at the Microsoft Innovation Center

On June 27th 2018, the final conference of the #empl-oi project was successfully held at the Microsoft Innovation Center in Brussels. Around 65 participants  joined speakers from Coopetic, HEInnovate, European Commission, European University Foundation, Erasmus Student Network, University of Alcalá (Spain), University of Lodz (Poland), University of Naples Federico II (Italy) and the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis (France) to discuss the cooperation between Business and University, and how to foster entrepreneurship and innovation in higher education.

Throughout the day, partners of the project succeeded one another to present the different outputs of the project and their outcomes, such as the open online course, the guidelines, or the policy recommendation booklet which the EUF was in charge of creating. Two panel discussions were also organised on the theme of international part-time placements and how to equip higher education students with the right set of skills, as well as on the topic of paving the way for stronger university-business cooperation. These two panel discussions were highly successful and lively, with many sparkling ideas and recommendations being shared.
