The linguistic courses are essential for the Erasmus students due to many exams held often in the home language of the institution. An important goal would be to teach these language competences using new tools and technologies, which are closer to the students’ needs and more aligned with the contemporary cognitive/learning styles.
EULALIA project aimed to improve and integrate the learning methodologies of the university language centres for Erasmus students in four HEIs involved in the project (Italy, Malta, Poland and Spain) through the development of innovative learning tools based on the paradigm of Mobile Learning and Game-Based Learning methodology.
As a result, the project developed the EULALIA App, available in Polish, Italian, Spanish and Maltese. The App was developed following the creation of a Model of Language Learning for Erasmus Students using game-based methodology and Mobile Learning, intended to enhance motivation and involve the students in language learning and knowledge about the hosting city and region.
Being the APP an OER, a supporting document was also produced in order to ensure the successful management of the OERs Co-Creation Process.
Finally, the impact of the project in general, and of the piloting phase of the EULALIA App in particular, have been summarized in the Report of the impact of EULALIA Toolkit for the Erasmus Plus Students, which also contains policy recommendations for future exploitation
