EWP Days Highlight Progress in Digitalising Higher Education

Over the summer, a series of Erasmus Without Paper (EWP) Days were held across Europe to review progress in higher education digitalisation and outline next steps. These events brought together EWP Champions, Digital Officers, and practitioners to discuss the implementation and future direction of the initiative. Sessions included updates from the European Student Card Initiative (ESCI) team and National Agencies, along with discussions on regional challenges and practical recommendations.

Peer Exchange Across Regions and Roles

Each gathering, typically involving more than 70 participants—ranging from International Relations Officers and IT developers to students and policymakers—offered space for peer exchange and problem‑solving. Recent events took place at the University for Foreigners of Perugia in Italy, Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, and the University of Granada in Spain. Additional EWP Days are scheduled for Portugal on 14 November and France on 25 November, with further activities planned for 2025.
Participants are encouraged to stay informed through ESCI communication channels, including the newsletter, and to contact their National Agency for country‑specific questions.
