The Secretary General of the EUF, Prof. Dr. Christoph Ehmann, was one of the experts invited to address the European Parliament hearing about the implementation of the new Erasmus+ programme, where he presented some of the most important ideas of the First Year Review which the EUF released together with the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) in September 2015.
In the presence of the European Commissioner for Education, Tibor Navracsics, Prof. Ehmann elaborated on the achievements and shortcomings of Erasmus+, putting forward a range of suggestions on how to further improve it and use its full potential from here until 2020.
The hearing was organised by the EPP Group and was attended by over 100 participants, including HEIs, NGOs representatives and officials from the European Parliament and European Commission, who debated almost all of the programme components for more than three hours.
