Online event for EUF universities
Date: October 19th, 2023, 10:30AM – 12:30PM CET
Registration is open to IRO staff members, mobility coordinators, academics working or willing to work on Blended Intensive Programmes from EUF network universities.
Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) offer a novel format for creating meaningful learning opportunities for students and staff members by combining physical and virtual components. Designing and executing a high-quality, cohesive, and engaging blended learning process demands careful consideration of facilitation strategies, assessment methods, and the seamless integration of physical and virtual elements.
Ensuring coherence and efficiency in administrative procedures, developing pedagogical and methodological designs for these learning opportunities, and implementing robust quality assurance procedures remain key challenges for universities.
In the previous academic year, we convened in a series of KEC sessions to explore scenarios and strategies for planning and implementing Blended Intensive Programmes. We are now advancing the discussion by focusing on defining concrete dos and don’ts, as well as collaboratively contributing to recommendations for successful BIP implementation.
During the session, we will:
- Explore the current challenges universities face in implementing BIPs.
- Share existing practices and supporting tools.
- Provide practical recommendations to unlock the full potential of BIPs for the benefit of students and institutions alike.
The session will be chaired by Katalin Anna Nemeth, Head of Department of Erasmus+ & International Programmes, Eötvös Loránd University.
