As digitalisation gathers pace and digital agreements (and soon nominations) become the new normal, IROs have been stressing the importance of having more training opportunities on all things EWP.
Further to very valuable discussions on the topic during the Student Mobility Summit in 2025, the EWP Convention and at the EAIE in 2025, we are delighted to share with the colleagues that from 2026 onwards regular trainings on digitalisation related topics will be carried out by the members of the EWP Consortium.
The first such trainings will take place in March 2026 at ELTE, in Budapest, with a focus on navigating the EWP ecosystem, from IIAs to nominations, learning agreements and more. In addition to structured training sessions, the programme will provide space for peer exchange and discussion of real-life implementation challenges and opportunities. You can find more information about the trainings and register here (EUF Training Week | Building capacity and expertise in European Higher Education).
Format wise, and after experimenting with both online and physical trainings on the topic, we focused on the later to ensure the highest quality and impact. At the same time, we made sure institutions can leverage on staff mobility grants to participate, making it inclusive and affordable. This approach enables us to better address the growing training needs around EWP.
We trust this is an important step to make sure more colleagues have access to authoritative information about EWP, and that as a community we move forward together with a share understanding of the key opportunities (and obstacles) to successfully digitalising the administration of student mobility in Europe.
