In partnership with 16 European Higher Education Stakeholders, the EUF endorses a Joint statement calling for an allocation of at least €60 billion for Erasmus+ between 2028 and 2034.
This is paramount to maintain the success and ambition of the flagship programme that, for nearly four decades, has been at the forefront of internationalisation of higher education in Europe. With new actions foreseen in the next funding period and restructuring of the Erasmus+ programme, the pressure on the budget will further increase if sufficient funding is not allocated. As recognition of the importance of Europe’s most celebrated programme for education, training, youth and sport grows, so will the demand for it.
To continue on the programme’s ambitious path of uniting, connecting and educating Europeans, and endowing them with skills for the future, the message stands clear: a stronger Europe needs a properly funded Erasmus+ programme.
