Institutional Strategies and Longer-term Solutions in Addressing the Needs of Displaced Academics and Students

Feb 3, 2025

Online event for EUF universities

Date: June 5th, 10:30AM – 12:00PM CEST

Registration is open to higher education professionals and International Relations Officers looking to exchange knowledge, share institutional experiences, and contribute to the development of sustainable academic support systems.

The ongoing war in Ukraine has forced thousands of students and academic staff members to leave the country, creating longer-term challenges for both Ukrainian institutions and the universities hosting displaced academics and students. While initial emergency responses have provided essential support, it is crucial to look into more sustainable strategies.

This Knowledge Exchange Community session will explore the evolving needs of Ukrainian higher education institutions and the challenges faced by the hosting universities. Together, we will discuss practical solutions, institutional approaches, and scenarios that foster long-term support and collaboration.
