Next week, the 8th European University-Business Forum, organised by the EACEA, will take place in Brussels. The Forum aims to bring together representatives from higher education and industry while providing an opportunity to discuss and establish new cooperation avenues, share successful collaboration practices and network with colleagues from all over Europe.
Innovation and sustainable development is the focus of the 8th edition of the Forum, therefore topics such as skills mismatches, social innovation, regional and local eco-systems will be discussed through the perspective of sustainability.
EUF project coordinators Marie Montaldo and Liga Kuzmane will take part in the event representing two ongoing initiatives in the domain of University-Business cooperation:
– European PhD Hub that aims to implement a coordination mechanism triangulating the needs of businesses, universities and PhD candidates. The PhD Hub triggers new funding opportunities via calls for cooperation and allows PhD talents to answer the research and innovation needs of public and private entities;
– Placement Opportunities with Entrepreneurial Reach (POWER) which aims to create a platform and accompanying resources to increase the opportunities of experiencing impactful entrepreneurial placements for students at European start-ups as well as to facilitate the further growth of the start-up community.
Meet us throughout the event at the booth of PhD Hub/POWER in the exhibition area.
