Preparing Students for Mobility

Preparing Students for Mobility

The Role of Peer-to-Peer Interaction and How the Compass Platform Can Help You

Date: Thursday, 27 April 2023 (10:30-12:30 CEST), Online

If you are involved in preparing students for mobility and want to know about how to improve support to students through engaging in peer-to-peer interaction, then this event may be of interest to you.

Firstly, the event will give you helpful insights into research undertaken by the Compass Project into the role of peer-to-peer interaction. In addition and in parallel to the formal information resources that higher education institutions can offer, peer-to-peer interaction can provide that vital informal information which only fellow students can give in helping students to make an informed choice of study abroad destination.

Secondly, the event will present the Compass Project platform as a vehicle in helping you to provide peer-to-peer interaction to both outgoing and incoming students. It will provide introductory training on how to use the platform and, for those who have some familiarity, it will be a refresher and highlight some new functionality.

The event will target staff involved in the preparation and orientation phases of mobility from higher education institutions and student organisations. Participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to one place per institution.

If you are interested in registering for this event, please email Michael Rosier at m.j.rosier@herts.ac.uk before 24 April 2023.
