The EWP Dashboard is a service that allows higher education institutions to manage their student mobilities seamlessly. It was and is developed by higher education institutions for higher education institutions. Made in Europe and funded by the European Commission, it stands as a cornerstone of the digital transformation process underway in Erasmus+, already used by thousands of institutions.
At this year’s EAIE conference —the annual meeting point for thousands of international relations officers (IROs) —we decided for the first time to organise the EWP Dashboard stand, which became more than just a booth — it turned into a meeting point for the community. A place to connect, exchange updates, share feedback, and openly discuss the future of Erasmus+ digitalisation.
What stood out the most was the dialogue. Universities, large and small, shared real stories of success and challenge, sparking conversations that went far beyond “what’s new”. The EWP Dashboard is not only a tool — it’s a community in motion. And that community is what drives progress. It was about co-creation, listening, learning, and imagining together what comes next.

Leaving the EAIE Conference, we came away with a deeper understanding of what the community needs next. We also understand more clearly why the platform works so well for so many institutions, as we realise that while the service was designed for smaller institutions, it also works smoothly and reliably for very large ones. Looking ahead, we are committed to continuing roll-out plans while respecting the fundamentals of a tool that remains straightforward and efficient in its daily use. It’s also important to recognise that HEIs require clear stability and perspectives, and one thing is certain: the EWP Dashboard will not go away!
Over the course of the three conference days, we hosted ten mini sessions on topics ranging from first steps for EWP Dashboard newcomers to discussing the latest functionalities and diving into strategies for digital transformation. Nominations in digital form through EWP clearly attracted the most interest, and we look forward to the large-scale roll-out of this functionality across all institutions, and IROs finally benefiting from the streamlining of this step. Already this autumn, EWP Dashboard users will have the opportunity to become early adopters of digital nominations!
It was a pleasure to exchange ideas with everyone who stopped by, shared their perspectives, and helped keep the dialogue alive. The journey continues — and your voices remain at the heart of it.
