The Diversity and Inclusion in Erasmus+ iMplementation (DIEM) project is committed to enhancing the inclusivity of the Erasmus+ programme, especially for students with fewer opportunities.
Started: 2024
Funding: Erasmus+ Key Action 2
Project budget: 400.000,00 €
Length: 36 months
Partners: 7
The DIEM project´s primary goal is to make student mobility opportunities more accessible, especially for those with fewer opportunities, aligning with the core priorities of the Erasmus+ programme 2021-2027, the European Education Area, and the Strategic Framework for Cooperation in Education and Training.
Through rigorous evaluation, data analysis, and policy research, the DIEM project aims to identify barriers hindering access to mobility and propose effective solutions.
The project has four key objectives:
- Comprehensive Evaluation: Evidence-based evaluations of stakeholder perspectives and policy changes will be conducted, generating insightful reports to drive better strategies.
- Enhanced Implementation: The use of Erasmus+ Higher Education tools will be improved, and awareness about available opportunities will be spread.
- Capacity Building: Stakeholders for collaborative, inclusive internationalisation will be empowered through workshops and training.
- Transformative Practices: Successful models will be built upon and policy experiments proposed to transform inclusive internationalisation in higher education.
The DIEM project will not just address specific groups but also common hurdles faced by all students, focusing on academic elements like recognition and grading. Its mission focuses on bringing about transformative changes at individual, organisational, and sectoral levels, driving improvements and pioneering new approaches in inclusive mobility.
Project consortium: Erasmus Student Network AISBL (ESN) (Coordinator), Academic Cooperation Association (ACA), University of Latvia, Humboldt University of Berlin, University of Pavia, Jagiellonian University, and European University Foundation.
