Too strategic to shrink: Why we cannot afford to undervalue Cooperation Partnerships?

Jul 30, 2025

Date: September 9th, 2025, 16:00-18:00 CEST

Where: Gothenburg (specific location will be shared with confirmed participants)

With declining funding and rising competition rates, Cooperation Partnerships (Erasmus+ KA2) are under increasing pressure, yet their transformative potential across sectors, institutions, and individuals remains unmatched. These projects have served as laboratories for innovation, spaces for trust-building, and platforms for strategic collaboration across Europe; however, given the recent developments, we must ask: are we collectively underestimating their long-term value, or have we simply failed to articulate it effectively?

During this public workshop, representatives from higher education institutions, key stakeholders and policy-makers will be invited to take a closer look at the evolving role of Cooperation Partnerships. What are the layered impacts of Cooperation Partnerships – beyond the tangible outputs and final reports – and what do we risk losing if their presence in the programme continues to shrink? Through a dynamic, interactive format, we will challenge assumptions, spotlight less visible forms of value, and rethink the future of this type of cooperation.

Please note that while the event is free of charge, spaces are limited. We encourage you to register early and share this opportunity with any colleagues who may be interested.
