The project’s main objective was to enhance and digitalise the quality framework of Erasmus+ student mobility and contribute to closing the data gap in the quality aspect of higher education transformation. The AsCOLA project aimed to help higher education institutions (HEIs) better monitor and assess their institutional performance in education activities related to their internationalisation strategy and policy.

To achieve these objectives, the AsCOLA project:

  • created an evaluation methodology of the courses offered to Erasmus+ students,
  • developed and piloted an online evaluation tool connected to the Online Learning Agreement,
  • delivered training sessions and train-the-trainers material to ensure that HEIs have the necessary knowledge to use the tool effectively.

Another important outcome of the AsCOLA project was the inclusion of the quality aspect of student mobility in the data exchange that currently takes place through the Erasmus Without Paper Network. This helped to ensure that the quality aspect of student mobility is reflected in the data exchanged between institutions and to drive quality improvements in higher education across Europe.
