The event

During the BEST+ course, a pool of experts will give 35 academic and administrative university staff members the opportunity to learn more about international attractiveness of universities through a combination of virtual and physical mobility (blended mobility).

Staff has a huge potential for the promotion of their universities and can be considered essential agents of change for the benefit of their institutions and incoming students. At the same time also student organisations and outgoing students are ambassadors for the image of the university and thus play an important role.

The course takes place under the aegis of the Blended Erasmus+ Staff Training (BEST+) project, which organises a range of trainings to pilot a new innovative way of conducting staff trainings for university staff working in the field of internationalisation. The BEST+ project is led by the University of Alcalá and project partners are the University of Eastern FinlandNuvole, the University of Lodz, the University of Latvia, the European University Foundation, as well as the Erasmus Student Network.

We believe that by combining traditional physical events with online content, we can better cater for the busy schedule of both academic and administrative university staff members. By taking advantage of new e-learning opportunities, we add value to our traditional training events and therefore help staff members to further their career development while being flexible from home.

The BEST+ Joensuu is a Higher Education training taking advantage of the digital development. It is an opportunity for university staff members to be at the forefront of innovation and experience a high-class event organised by the European University Foundation.
